Premium Beverage Alcohol

Extra-neutral alcohol Min 96% (potato)

Extra-neutral potato alcohol, or potato surfin, is a high-purity potable alcohol (ethanol) produced via fermentation, distillation and precision rectification. It is used in speciality alcoholic beverage blends and formulations including premium vodka (where it is often the sole ingredient). We specialise in the supply of authentic high-proof bulk potato vodka (extra-neutral potato alcohol) from traditional origins including Poland, Russia and Lithuania, allowing our clients to use these geographical indications on their label.

Extra-neutral alcohol Min 96% (speciality grains - wheat, rye, barley, corn)

Extra-neutral grain alcohol, also known as grain neutral spirits (GNS) is a high-purity potable alcohol (ethanol) derived from grain via fermentation, distillation and precision rectification. It is used widely in premium alcoholic beverage blends and formulations including vodka (where it is often the sole ingredient), gin, liqueurs, bitters, vermouth and fernet. It is also blended into certain other spirits within the scope of prevailing regulations. We specialise in the supply of authentic high-proof bulk grain vodka (extra-neutral grain alcohol) from traditional origins including Poland, Russia and Lithuania, allowing our clients to use these geographical indications on their label. We supply neutral grain alcohol of various derivations including wheat, corn, barley, rye and rice.

Crude, neutral and extra-neutral citrus ethanol 92-96% (orange)

Our crude and rectified citrus alcohols are derived from the waste products of the orange processing industry and can be used in certain specialist food and beverage applications.

Crude, neutral and extra-neutral apple alcohol 92-96% (orange)

Our crude (or phlegma) and neutral apple alcohols are also used in certain specialist food and beverage applications. All our apple alcohols are Kosher certified.

Extra-neutral alcohol Min 96% vol. Organic Certified (Organic Alcohol)

Organic beverages contain a minimum content of certified Organic ingredients which are produced from crops which are managed according to strict regulations. These controls generally prohibit the use of conventional pesticides and artificial fertilizers, while ensuring environmentally sustainable agricultural practice. Our Organic Alcohol is offered in a variety of grades and from a selection of GMO-free raw materials including sugarcane and grain. Our Organic Alcohol is certified for use by a number of national and regional bodies such as those in EU, Switzerland, USA, Australia and Japan. Our Organic alcohols, including our grain alcohol, are gluten-free.

Extra-neutral alcohol Min 96% vol. Fair Trade Certified (Fair Trade Alcohol)

Our Fair Trade Extra-Neutral Alcohol is distilled to the highest levels of purity and suitable for use in fine beverage spirits or liqueurs and cosmetics. The alcohol in its crude form is produced at a domestic level by over 200 families and small cooperatives after which it is rectified to exacting standards. All our Fair Trade Alcohol is by default certified as Organic.

Extra-neutral alcohol Min 96% Kosher Pareve / Kosher for Passover (Kosher Alcohol)

Kosher alcohol is produced under rabbinical supervision in strict accordance with Jewish laws pertaining to the production and preparation of food and beverages. A number of the grades of alcohol listed above are available as Kosher Pareve (Parve) certified. Our Extra-Neutral Alcohol (ENA) 96% is available with Kosher Pareve and Kosher for Passover status.

Wine alcohol and Vinous alcohol 95.5% and 96%

Wine alcohol is a neutral or extra-neutral beverage grade ethanol produced from grape wine via distillation. At 96%, it retains none of the organoleptic characteristics of grape or wine. This product is widely used in the liqueur and fortified wine sectors and, depending on prevailing national regulations, in the brandy sector.

Vinous alcohol or grape alcohol (occasionally also referred to as "wine alcohol" in North America) is an extra-neutral beverage grade ethanol produced from the grape residues which are the by-products of wine production. These include grape marc (pomace) and wine lees (sediments). This product is also widely used in the liqueur and fortified wine sectors and, depending on prevailing national regulations, in the brandy sector.

Rum base alcohol (ageing alcohol) 94-95%

A beverage quality raw alcohol with a higher level of desirable congeners (naturally occurring aromatic compounds other than ethanol) produced from either sugarcane juice or sugarcane molasses. It is more "rummy" in taste and aroma then other high-proof sugarcane alcohols, and therefore widely used in the rum industry as a raw alcohol for subsequent barrel-ageing or blending.

Rectified rice alcohol 95% vol.

Rice alcohol is a rectified potable alcohol. It is used widely in spirits and alcoholic beverage formulations, particularly in the Far East and South-East Asia, and to a lesser extent in Brazil. It is also blended into certain other spirits within the scope of prevailing regulations.

Speciality high-proof alcohols

Ethimex has production partnerships around the globe and, subject to minimum volume, can produce crude, high-proof, neutral and extra-neutral alcohols from many different raw materials including cassava (manioc) and whey amongst others, or in specific geographical regions for the purposes of provenance (from label and marketing perspective) or beneficial customs duty tariffs.
